Stress triggers key molecule to halt transcription of cell's genetic code
Researchers at Stowers Institute and elsewhere have shown that elongin A plays two roles in transcription of cell's genetic code. When cells are stressed and transcription runs into a glitch caused by damage to the DNA, it marks the machinery to be disassembled. May 27, 2015
