VMRD was founded in 1981 by D. Scott Adams, DVM, PhD, and currently employs approximately 50 researchers, lab technicians and support personnel. From its site in Pullman, WA VMRD develops and manufactures diagnostic test kits and related reagents for distribution in more than 55 countries. VMRD develops and manufactures high quality, USDA-licensed diagnostic test kits for infectious disease agents such as Anaplasma, Babesia caballi, Babesia equi, Bovine Leukemia Virus, Bluetongue Virus, Caprine Arthritis Encephalitis Virus, Equine Infectious Anemia Virus and Neospora; research reagents such as FA conjugates, IFA substrate and control slides, as well as a wide selection of monoclonal and polyclonal antibodies against infectious agents, immunoglobulins, CD markers, MHC agents, cytokines, and hormones. VMRD also produces other immunological assays such as Coombs' and FPT kits.
VMRD’s services division performs specialized testing of raw materials, cells and seeds for the presence of adventitious agents to satisfy various regulatory requirements and quality assurance needs for the global serum, veterinary and pharmaceutical industries. |
