delayed by COVID-19, to be launched in 2023 replacing WashingtonLifeScience.com. Regrettably, we are working with reduced

| | Company Description | Immune Design (formerly Vaccsys) is a clinical-stage immunotherapy company employing leading-edge technologies that target dendritic cells in vivo to generate and expand strong cytotoxic T cells (CTLs) for the treatment of cancer and other chronic diseases. The company has a multi-faceted set of clinical programs on going that are the product of its two synergistic discovery platforms: DCVexTM, a novel lentiviral vector platform engineered to deliver antigen-encoding nucleic acids directly to dendritic cells in vivo; and GLAASTM, a TLR4-agonist platform that activates dendritic cells by up-regulating key molecules for efficient antigen presentation and produces Th1 cytokines to enhance the immune response. Immune Design has offices in Seattle, Washington and South San Francisco, California.
The company’s scientific founders have each made significant contributions to the field of immunotherapy and the treatment of chronic disease: Dr. Larry Corey (President and Director of the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center and Professor of Medicine and Laboratory Medicine at the University of Washington), Dr. Steven Reed (Past Co-founder and CSO of Corixa and Founder, President, and CSO of the Infectious Disease Research Institute) and Dr. David Baltimore (Past President of Caltech, Rockefeller University, and the Whitehead Institute and the Co-Recipient of the 1975 Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine). Immune Design’s Scientific Advisory Board is comprised of senior investigators Drs. Larry Corey, Rafi Ahmed, David Baltimore, Philip Greenberg, Carl June, Steven Reed, Inder Verma, and Ralph Steinman (late). | |
