Summary
The Client Engineer is responsible for developing and implementing device management solutions and technologies at Seagen, as part of the Information Security Engineering group. This role is accountable for the design and implementation of enterprise-wide device management services for all client device types across the environment. They will be responsible for implementing integrations and automated provisioning services to provide a modern, scalable and reliable device management platform. This team is additionally responsible for all operational activities related to the services provided, including monitoring, support and pre-emptive system maintenance and remediation.
Principal Responsibilities:
- Active experience with managing client configurations using Microsoft Intune or equivalent Client management tools
- Experience with JAMF highly desirable
- Diagnose Intune/JAMF deployment issues and perform root cause analysis
- Design and build software packages from scratch utilizing various development methodologies including experience with Legacy applications
- Experience with certificate management associated with client configurations such as VPN/Wifi profiles
- Experience with management of a certificate authority highly desirable
- Experience with Azure AD experience with Conditional Access
- Build OS images as needed
- Build OS upgrades and certify upgrades is ready for production
- Prioritize automated solution to enhance and automate deployment solutions
- Create and maintain SOPs relative to configuration, processes, and service records
- Management of all relevant OS types, including, but not limited to, Windows 10, iOS, iPadOS, MacOS, Android
- Responsible to establish and implement end user security settings
- Collaborate with support teams to develop and optimize OS deployment and automated build processes
- Build and improve monitoring capabilities of managed systems, take appropriate action for critical issues, and develop long term recommendations for recurring issues
- Perform research on relevant technology products, services, protocols, and standards to remain abreast of developments in the industry
- Collaborate and resolve user requests and incidents, and support end-user communication and training
Required Qualifications:
- 5 years of IT experience, with at least 3 year of experience managing Windows Client OS
- At least 2 years of experience with Microsoft Intune
- Hands on experience with JAMF highly desirable
- Demonstrated scripting development skills utilizing PowerShell and other scripting languages
- Well-versed in software package technology and development methodologies
- Proficient in client Operating System management, configuration, and implementation
- Deep understanding of Windows 10, its configuration options, and capabilities
- Strong knowledge of Apple iOS, iPadOS, MacOS
- Solid understanding of Azure AD, Active Directory, group policies, WMI
- Ability to conduct research across a wide range of computing areas to identify and resolve operating system and application software issues
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Information Technology or related technical or scientific discipline OR equivalent experience
- Relevant certifications highly desired
