We are seeking a highly motivated proteomics scientist to join our Systems Biology team. The team aims to incorporate high-content, data-driven methods to enhance all aspects of our therapeutic pipeline. Our team has a deep interest in leveraging systems approaches to understand how tumors respond to and resist treatment so that we can drive increasingly durable clinical responses and better patient outcomes with our next generation of therapeutics. The successful candidate will have a deep understanding and expertise around proteomics assay design, execution, and analysis along with a vision for how proteomics tools can drive novel insights in therapeutic design. They will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team comprising chemists, engineers, pharmacologists, and biologists across the Research department to advance next-generation therapies in all areas of oncology. They will work closely with colleagues engaged in both preclinical and clinical stage programs to elucidate drug mechanisms of action, sensitivity, and resistance. The candidate will also support efforts to characterize tumor and target biology, working with early discovery teams to develop new hypotheses and therapeutic designs while building and democratizing foundational knowledge.

Principal Responsibilities:

  • Lead the implementation of new proteomics assays and serve as a technical subject matter expert within Research
  • Collaborate on cross-functional teams to support therapeutic discovery, design, and MOA studies
  • Communicate findings through excellent written and oral communication and presentations
  • Keep internal capabilities up to date with the field through conference attendance and external presentations

Required Qualifications:

  • PhD with 0-2 years relevant experience; may include post-doctoral experience; or equivalent, such as M.S. with 6+ years relevant experience; Bachelor's degree with 8+ years relevant experience; Degree in related biology-focused field
  • Broad understanding of mass spectrometry-based proteomics technology and intense curiosity and enthusiasm for applications within oncology drug development
  • Significant direct experience in the design and implementation of proteomics assays along with working knowledge of respective data processing pipelines and downstream bioinformatics
  • Track record of using proteomics assays to elucidate a biological system and generate novel insights
  • General proficiency in a statistical programming language (e.g., R/Python)
  • Outstanding communication and leadership skills, with a successful track record of collaboration within cross-functional teams
  • Evidence of scientific independence through external publications or conference presentations

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with high-throughput sample preparation and DIA/SWATH acquisition schemes
  • Experience with maintenance and operation of LC-MS systems
  • Experience identifying protein-drug interactions using chemoproteomics (e.g., thermal profiling, affinity purification, limited proteolysis, covalent foot printing)
  • Experience in analysis of post-translational modifications
  • Understanding of cancer signaling pathways and mechanistic biology
  • Understanding of drug development pipeline from target discovery through pre-clinical proof-of-concept and validation
