Summary:
The Data Strategy, Science, & Solutions team (DSS&S) is on a mission to empower everyone at Seagen to use data to make decisions and take action in support of a Seagen’s mission to improve treatment outcomes for patients. DSS&S brings the power of analytics to the places where people can work collaboratively to discover and act on insights from the data that matters to them. As a Research Data Product Manager, you will drive and define the strategy, goals, and requirements for a given set of data products and related collection, transformation, and visualization tools to enable the Research Organization to discover the next Investigational New Drug (IND). You will work closely with a variety of groups within the Research Organization, DSS&S team and Seagen to ensure that teams across the organization are equipped with the tools and data resources that they need to make great decisions, discover actionable insights, and deliver new patient value. The ideal candidate will bring research experience in pharmaceutical research or development. You will have the opportunity to apply an agile, product and customer-centric design mindset to stakeholder engagement and delivery. Principal Responsibilities:
- Stakeholder Engagement: Act as product owner and collaborate with business leads in developing vision, identifying technical connections, dependencies, and risks, including communicating status of key planning milestones and programs. Manage product expectations, roadmap, dependencies, metrics, and releases while iterating with internal partners
- Delivery Oversight: Be responsible for planning, leading, and motivating squad teams to achieve a high level of performance in delivering exceptional business value. This will include managing concurrent, high visibility initiatives in a fast-paced environment across multiple business functions
- User Research: Be responsible for user and stakeholder interviews, analyze and synthesize to build user personas, user experiences, prototypes, trainings and incentives as needed to drive the data driven transformation within Research and Seagen
- Innovation Ideation Facilitation: Be responsible for facilitating ideation sessions with researchers, data scientists, data engineers and other broader audiences to generate leapfrogging ideas by which data can be leveraged to advance the scientific discovery process
- Roadmap Development: Build and maintain a roadmap that helps the scrum team progress towards the vision and objectives set by our business partners. You’ll manage priorities and associated trade-offs using a blend of qualitative and quantitative inputs and help unblock the team from dependencies by leveraging your relationships across the organization
- User Stories, Design, Documentation: Develop user stories to address complex business requirements. Awareness of stories in work/backlog; confirm alignment with or risks to product roadmap. Make/escalate decisions on technical scope as needed. Identify gaps/issues in technical process & quality. Work with team to drive and monitor resolution. Ensure inventory of technical documentation is sufficient and up-to-date
- Development, Testing, Deployment: Accountable for providing technical go/no-go recommendation to business owners based on assessment of quality, risk and facilitate creation of cross-application deployment plan. Coordinates handoffs, including communication for ‘day-of’ release activities across applications. Audit data sets, visualizations, dashboards, and tools end-to-end to ensure adoption, standardization, and operational efficiency
- Change Management: Apply change management tools, conduct impact analysis, and assess change readiness to create and implement strategies to support adoption of Agile operating model and mindset. Evangelize data analytics and data science to the greater Seagen community and promote cross-team collaboration

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree with 3+ years of experience in pharmaceutical research or development. Oncology background strongly recommended.
- Able to define vision, value outcomes, success metrics and strategy to influence at all levels of the organization
- Demonstrated ability to effectively collaborate across organizational functions and influence leaders
- Able to apply a creative approach to problem solving with the ability to focus on details while maintaining the big picture view
- Solid understanding of drug development
- Product/project management foundation and relevant experience on matrix management, budget management, metrics and leadership communication
- Strong written and oral communication skills of complex and technical ideas to a wide range of audience
- Demonstrated ability to interact directly and productively with team members and management to manage and prioritize multiple competing priorities is also required
- Ability to lead and engage in complex scientific discussions to develop/summarize clear follow-up/action plans and execute
- Strong experience with building relationships, leading strategic initiatives and programs, and collaborating across divisions with people of diverse business backgrounds and cultures
- Highly organized and motivated individual with the ability to work independently/effectively with cross functional matrixed teams
- Comfort with ambiguity, driving change and innovation across a matrix
Preferred Qualifications:
- An advanced degree (e.g. MS, PhD, MBA) preferred
- In-silico medicine development experience preferred
- 5-7 years' experience in product management and/or working with data platforms & ecosystems preferred
- Experience with technologies frequently used in data analytics, data science and engineering teams (PowerBI, Snowflake, Tableau, Databricks, Azure DevOps, Jira)
- Demonstrated success in leading complex data and technology product delivery consisting of multiple agile scrum teams, business partners, and other stakeholders

The hiring pay range for this position is $149,00 to $193,000 per year based on skills, education and experience relevant to the role. Other components of total compensation include a competitive equity grant at the time of hire (with additional annual grants, and grants upon promotion when applicable), and an annual bonus.
