Washington Global Health Alliance is a clearinghouse for Washington’s global health organizations, connecting, organizing and motivating groups with a common goal of improving health conditions for citizens throughout the world. The organization also provides support and leverages activities that create fundraising opportunities for global health directives.
The overarching goal of the WGHA is to strengthen the community of like-minded public and private organizations in Washington committed to developing a dynamic, diverse, global health workforce through research, education, training, mentoring, and developing and delivering cutting-edge global health solutions.
The Alliance fosters inclusive collaboration and shares global health initiatives with the community. Promote research, education, training and mentoring in the field of global health to develop a stronger work force and increase the opportunities available in Washington.
Executive members include Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center, Infectious Disease Research Institute, PATH, Seattle Biomedical Research Institute, Seattle Children's GAPPS program, the University of Washington's Department of Global Health, Washington State University. The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation is an advisory member. |
