July is Juvenile Arthritis Awareness Month

Juvenile arthritis (JA) refers to any form of arthritis or arthritis-related condition that develops in children or teenagers who are less than 18 years of age. Nearly 300,000 children in America have been diagnosed with juvenile arthritis and are affected by pediatric arthritis and rheumatologic conditions.

The Arthritis National Research Foundation funds arthritis research to find a cure for arthritis, but it is also a children’s charity. By supporting arthritis research specific to juvenile arthritis every year, they hope to make a difference in the lives of the thousands of kids dealing with arthritis.
